Client Review on 561 Media, Inc.

Before I start, I wanted to say that I didn't want to leave this review for fear of retaliation. On 561's FB page, another person who left a bad review for them said that one of 561's employees came back and left her company page bad reviews. However, I DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE, so here it goes. I would be very cautious about going with 561 Media. I lost $15,000 with this company due to months and months of unfulfilled promises. After my initial call with this company, I was very excited to work with them. In March, I was told that my site would be complete by July 2018. After the initial payment, the only way that I ever heard from them is if I emailed them. They never emailed me updates or with any time issues. In June, I sent one of many emails asking if my site would be complete as August/September is my high sales time. I was assured that it would be done by July. July came and again, I reached out to them because I didn't hear anything for weeks. I was again told that it would be complete it 2 weeks. August came and I, once again, had to reach out (the communication was beyond horrible). Once again, I was told 2 weeks...After multiple emails back and forth, they finally delivered a 'completed' site in October. The site was not even close to what I asked for even though I had given detailed information, drawings, etc. I am still convinced that they hired outside the country because what I saw in the site included English language issues (twice a weekly instead of twice weekly and so many more), lack of knowledge what my profession was (which is a huge issue considering the site is for speech language pathologists), and confusing functionalities that either didn't work or weren't what I needed. Finally, in November after multiple more emails without things getting fixed, I had to walk away with a loss of $15,000. In February, I was contacted by a guy from India that said his team was actually the main developer of my site...which is interesting since in my contract it states that they don't hire out. I called and talked to Michael Richards in March and I was assured that they never hired out, he had no idea that the communication was so bad or that I was unhappy with my site. He promised to 'make it up to me' by providing me with an advertising package. He said he would email me that week with a package. Two weeks later, I emailed him as I still hadn't received anything. Shocking...I didn't hear back. A week after that, I emailed him again. He got back to me and said he would have it by the next week. ANOTHER two weeks passed without anything. I emailed him again and he said he would get it to me that Monday...It is now June and I still haven't heard anything. So much for 'making it up to me'. I guess I shouldn't be shocked that this happened, but I genuinely thought he would try to make it up to me considering I am a self-employed, small business owner that am now out $15,000. I have never written a bad review, but I don't want this to ever happen to someone else. Also, I would suggest checking Yelp reviews as there are many similar reviews.
