We had an absolutely awesome experience with 617 weddings — and especially our increeeedible DJ Chris profenna. He had djd another wedding that my now husband and I attended a few years back, and the couple had nothing but rave reviews for him. From the first phonecall I knew he would be perfect. By far one of the friendliest, sweetest guys we had the pleasure of working with. He was all about making our experience great and very much "us." The 617 weddings site made it really easy to select all our music, and when we met with Chris to go over the list, it was like he'd already memorized the whole thing 😊 plus it was nice to hear that we made good choices, lol! Chris was so flexible and fun throughout the wedding day, we had no concerns whatsoever. Every second of it — from the ceremony to the dinner toasts and all through the reception — was 100% perfect, and every transition was seamless. We did have a semi complicated request for the mother/son dance (slow song for one minute that went right into a fast-paced one) and Chris absolutely NAILED it. He's truly an expert at what he does. And what makes all that even better is his passion for the job. You can feel how much he loves entertaining people and how genuinely happy he is to be there. He just does everything he can to make sure you don't have a single worry in the world on your wedding day. Anywho, I could go on and on, but I'll end with this: if you have the good fortune to choose Chris Profenna as your DJ, don't even hesitate. You'll have an unforgettable and insanely fun experience! Dimitri Soteropoulos is responsible for making our wedding the most fun and memorable night of our lives! It's only been two days since the wedding and I've received countless comments from guests that we had the BEST wedding they've ever been to. We even had guests say that they never stay until the end of weddings, including their own, and they stayed until the end of ours! Something I should also mention: we had a SMALL wedding of about 60 guests and the dance floor wasn't empty ONCE! The venue staff even mentioned they've never seen a dance floor packed all night long and never stop dancing.From my first conversation with Dimitri over a year out from my wedding I was impressed. Dimitri was professional, thorough, but most of all he became a friend that wanted to give us the best night of our lives and he wanted to know us in order to achieve that. He responded quickly to texts and emails, and he thought of every little detail of the flow of the day that I hadn't. I simply do not have enough positive things to say about Dimitri and highly recommend him to any bride & groom looking to make their wedding the most fun night of their lives no matter the number of people who attend!

I was fortunate enough to work with DJ Danny T from 617 Weddings for our wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester. I had seen 617 Weddings at ALL the bridal expos and events I had gone to over the past year, so I decided to reach out to them after having a terrible experience with another DJ from a different company. They were more than willing to help me out (at the time I was freaking out because it was 3 months to my wedding and I had no DJ!!). Jimmie hooked us up with DJ Danny T and it was a PERFECT MATCH. Danny is a talented professional, full of energy, and truly cares about making your day the best day of your life. He was flexible with his schedule when meeting with us before the wedding and by the end of the planning process it felt like we were meeting up with a friend, not a vendor. This made the day of the wedding extremely comfortable because there wasn’t a stranger playing our music, but someone who was a familiar face to us. It was clear that he listened to exactly what we wanted and then delivered that and so so much more! His music selection hit the nail on the head and he handled song requests very professionally, playing what he thought was appropriate for the crowd at that time in the night. There was never a lull or a song that came on where everyone left the dance floor because Danny kept them out on the dance floor... All. Night. Long.Danny also has an innate gift for getting a crowd going. The way he got everyone to their feet for our entrances, the transitions through speeches, the parent dances, and all the other parts of a wedding were flawless. Usually people at a wedding will comment on how great the food was, or what a nice venue... which people did, but the majority of our wedding guests were just as blown away by our DJ as we were. It’s true Danny is a younger DJ, but don’t let his age fool you because he was the BEST choice we made out of all of our wedding vendors. My wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without DJ Danny T and 617 weddings. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to make their wedding the best party of their life.

We couldn't possibly recommend DJ Chuck from 617 Weddings any higher. He was extremely familiar with our venue (Smith Barn in Peabody) so the set up was never in question -- we knew everything would be set up without a hitch -- even with a questionable weather forecast with a lot of moving parts, Chuck was on top of it from the start. In our pre-wedding meet up the week of the wedding, Chuck understood us, our musical preferences, and what we wanted. He delivered an entertaining set, kept everything moving, and handled himself with class throughout. A true professional. He'll do anything for his brides, and grooms.

From the start, Chuck from 617 made us feel important and made it clear he was excited to work with us (all the other DJ's we interviewed made it seem like we were lucky to have them, but Chuck was the complete opposite). Chuck checked in periodically to see if we needed anything for the wedding, even if it was not DJ related. It truly made us feel like he had our best interest in mind for the entire day, not just the part that he was in charge of. When the big day came around, he was punctual and professional. But our favorite part about Chuck was how personable he was. He made sure everyone's name was said correctly during intros and realllllly pumped up our crowd (which is exactly what we wanted). During the party portion the dance floor was not empty ever. If he could tell the crowd wasn't feeling a song, he'd remix a new one in seamlessly to get everyone going again. He even captured a picture of my mom and I watching my husband and his mom share their mother/son dance. It was such a sweet moment that I don't even know if our photographers captured it. Overall, choosing Chuck to be our DJ was one of the best decisions we made, and one of the best and easiest vendors to work with. We would and do highly recommend him and 617 Weddings.

Chris Paul of 617 weddings was hired as the DJ for my sister-in-law's wedding. Our family was appalled that he arrived to the wedding intoxicated. He was loud and very obtrusive throughout the wedding and a few guests heard him making inappropriate jokes. Not only did he make several stops at the bar getting himself drinks during his coverage, he was also very rude to a few of my family members who had a couple of simple requests from him. All in all, we were all underwhelmed by his demeanor and level of professionalism. I’m warning everyone out there getting married to stay far away from this guy.

Jimmie was amazing to work with! From the first meeting he totally understood the vibe my now-husband and I were going for, and he literally had people of all ages on the dance floor the ENTIRE evening without fail. He's super friendly, outgoing, and organized, and he also wasn't afraid to take charge in making sure everything flowed as seamlessly as possible. The music can really make or break a wedding, but he absolutely nailed it--SO. MUCH. FUN! The only downside was how quickly the night was over! I'd highly recommend Jimmie and his 617 team to anyone looking for an awesome, versatile DJ!
