Feedback:

Broadview was very helpful to me for both product design engineering and CAD design. They also we able to do some pretty creative things on prototyping soft PVC like parts. I would certainly use them again if the need arose.

Feedback:

I've found success in working with Broadview on multiple prototype projects. This group has always been transparent and worked collaboratively with me to accommodate tight automotive timelines.

Feedback:

I had a really bad experience with this company. I highly suggest shopping around with other companies before going with them on a project.I started by getting a quote from them and then another from another company. My quote from the other company was $695. Then, I went to Broadview and was quoted $800. After meeting with Matt and Dave, I was impressed by their ideas and decided to go with them although it was the more expensive route. I paid the $800 and they got started. About a week later, I was given an invoice for $592.50 to have the prototype made. At that point, I was a little shocked by the extra bill since my understanding was that everything was going to be $800. I went through emails looking for where it specifies what was included for the $800 and wasn't able to find it anywhere. I'm guessing it was over the phone? I don't know. So I then asked for a copy of the invoice of what I had paid and they sent an invoice that said it only covered the 2d drawings. I paid the additional $592.50 and at that point had spent twice of what I would've gone with the other company, as their physical prototype was included in the $695.After working with these guys for a few months, I racked up thousands of dollars in bills and was no closer to having a working prototype than when I started. The second version of my prototype was even more unstable than the first and it came with poles that had paint in the threading, so two of the poles weren't able to close all the way. The poles, including the 2 defective ones, cost me $562. For comparison, the other company quoted me $137.60 for having the poles made out of a more expensive metal (aluminum). At this point, I started looking at what I spent versus what I received and decided to take the project to the other company. I paid these guys and took it as a learning experience. With the other company, they have reworked the design I had spent over $4,000 on with these guys and also created 14 other wooden pieces making 2d drawings and 3d images all for $715. That would've easily cost me over $10,000 with Broadview, and they only charge five dollars less than these guys do per hour. How does that make sense? The only thing I can think of is that the hours I was invoiced from them have been severely inflated. After all this, I received another bill they had forgot to send sooner for another $977.50 and almost fainted. I tried to tell myself it was just a bad dream and didn't pay the last bill. Then I received another message about a week later telling me I needed to set up a payment plan with them. I wrote to them outlining these reasons I didn't feel I owed them the money and providing my quotes from the other company to show how I had been overcharged by thousands of dollars. It's been over a week with no response. The good news is it doesn't look like they're trying to cash in on the last gouge, but I still overpaid by at least $3,000 or $4,000. It feels odd that after sending an email to multiple people in the company which outlined serious issues with how I'd been overcharged I didn't receive anything at all back. I guess just like I was wishing their extra gouge was a bad dream, that they've done the same thing with my message to them. Take the time to compare a couple of quotes. This mistake cost me $3,000 - $4,000.
