What was the best part of the experience?

When I was tasked with figuring out how to turn around our web marketing I started to notice a lot of negative reviews, some in part due to some mistakes that were made along the way while our business was growing and some from online reviewers we were pretty sure were actually competitors. We tried to do a lot to directly connect with reviewers and try to handle the negativity, but nothing really worked. In some ways, we made things worse._x000D_ _x000D_ We hired DMA at the recommendation of a colleague of mine and they were really quick to identify some of the major issues. They also showed us just how damaging the negative perception of us was online and what it was stopping us from being able to achieve. We had a lot of potential for getting customers online, but they were being scared away. The proposed a large campaign to both combat the negativity online and promote a lot more positive content. We signed the contract._x000D_ _x000D_ Within three months we were seeing a lot more inquiries online as a lot of the negativity was being counteracted with positive coverage of our brand online. Websites and pages built by DMA were being favored by search engines over blatantly false or misleading information competitors put out about us online. We even saw some negative results disappear entirely._x000D_

What would you change about the experience?

It did take a few months for us to see the results of the work and there was a point where we weren’t sure if it was going to work out for us. We had a few discussions with their team and they were more than willing to have a meeting to show what their accomplishments was and to expose a bit of the process to help us feel better._x000D_ _x000D_

We are now seeing a huge increase in online sales since buyers are not being greeted with a sea of negativity when they try to learn more about us. The positive reviews we have on Yelp and on Google far outweigh the false negatives and we have managed to turn a lot of the negative into positive by having DMA connect with the reviewers to figure out how to resolve the situation. We are very grateful for the hard work they have done to turn our brand image around.
