Mrs. Shirley and her staff are amazing! They worked with me to create a custom and creative menu for my wedding. The food was delicious and hot! The staff was was on top of their game making sure everyone had eat they needed. (We had 400 guests) I did not have to worry about one thing with Mrs. Shirley in charge. We have used Kimble’s three times since the wedding. Each time and each meal is a wonderful experience. I HIGHLY recommend using Kimble’s for your next event! You won’t be disappointed!

During recent Hurricane Michael storm restoration, Shirley Barnes and all the Kimble's staff worked overtime to help us feed our linemen in South Georgia. These guys worked 16 hour days with very little rest to get the power back on to our Pataula District members. I can NOT begin to express how GREAT Kimble's was to us and for our crews. The Kimble's crew worked late nights and long days to prepare for these hungry men. Our guys had plenty of fuel for those long days and some have even said, "this is the only storm they ever worked where they gained weight"! I contracted Kimble's to do a dinner/concert event on February 24, 2019 at the Callaway Conference Center on the West Georgia Technical College campus. I worked with Shirley Barnes and up until the night of the event, everything seemed in order. Shirley was professional, friendly, and very accommodating throughout the entire planning process. She went the "extra mile" to accommodate our organization with a near disastrous liquor license issue. The food was very reasonably priced and Shirley was patient as we fine tuned the menu to meet the thematic concept of the concert.The service overall was excellent, the staff was friendly and seemed focused on the success of the event. I appreciated Shirley being on site as well as I have had events before where the manager has not attended.As the artistic director of an event such as this, the last thing I need to worry about on the night of the performance is the food and beverage. That was Kimble's responsibility to assure that that aspect of the concert was managed successfully.Between the audience and the performers, we had over four hundred people involved with this concert, including eleven WW2 veterans as this event was a musical tribute to them and their service to our country. The contracts included two meats, a chicken entrée and a pot roast entrée. Unfortunately, I learned immediately following the event, that "the chef didn't see the pot roast order and therefore, there was none available." Needless to say, I received numerous complaints regarding that as we included that entrée in our ticket costs. Shirley did adjust the invoice, however, it was still a very serious oversight. I had positive comments regarding the quality of the food, however, certain items ran short and guests were not able to enjoy the full menu....especially the Apple Brown Betty dessert which was delicious but once again, ran short...also ran short on salad, etc. The box meals that were prepared for the singers were great and I received many compliments on those. I would like to work with Kimble's again, but leaving off an entire entrée due to the chef "not seeing the complete order" on an event as large as that has made me hesitant to contract another project.
