A nice mix of theory and practical education. Professional instructors are well qualified. Professors come from a variety of theoretical backgrounds and methods of research. The divisions that exist between quant and qual professors found in some comm departments don't exist at the SOJC. Everyone is pretty supportive.

The Journalism school is a top 5 institution that has unparalleled faculty and a vision for the future that motivates and inspires both the staff and the students. The advertising program is literally changing the way agencies hire new employees. Companies are beginning to look beyond the traditional portfolio schools to programs like Oregon that truly put the ideas first.
