Mr. Purcell answered a gig posting in Craigslist because I was looking for someone to collaborate with some projects in Adobe Character Animator and After Effects. Nothing necessarily illegal about giving yourself a five star review, it's just that trying to do business with Purcell Productions had too many red flags that I wasn't willing to take those kinds of risks, especially when I felt pressure to sign a contract and send money before meeting in person when I was clear earlier about my plans. When I emailed about wanting to wait and look into some other options, I got a friendly text that he was no longer interested, and I didn't reply. Later that morning, I got an email "I am not, after our call I had decided against the gig", which I found to be unnecessary and unprofessional.I think Mr. Purcell could do some amazing work, if he's given a lot of creative power. He's very interesting, a fun communicator and seems to have enough talent and experience to handle my projects. I'm just leary of anyone who tries to convince me about his moral character and professionalism when there were a lot of things that concerned me about hiring this business.I'm glad he took down his Facebook reccomendation, and I assume he'll take down the five star review from a C Purcell.
