As the Director of Marketing for a major US retailer we do a lot of printing. In 2010 I sought printing and online web-to-print solutions and looked at three different printers in the US. One RFP came from the regional FedEx Office group, another from a smaller national printing house in Phoenix, and the last of them being RGC in Chicago. We gave each company opportunities to handle aspects of our printing and print ordering business and were amazed to find out...A. How terrible and inconsistent FedEx Office was.B. How many hidden fees the other national competitor had.C. How much Richards fit our needs.Richards was a clear winner...by a long shot. Their customer service is the best in the nation and one of the best of any company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Their print materials are always on time and of the highest quality, they catch errors we have made, offer translation services, and most important...you can tell every aspect of your job(s) are being overseen by real people who care about the quality of the product. They care about their product but it feels like they care more about your product. That is very rare in today's business world.Their web to print portal is the best in the nation, hands down. I've worked with many of them and the Richards site is intuitive and customized to fit your needs. Every week they bring something new to the table and help us find ways to create better efficiencies in our printing/ordering while staying on (or under) budget.In summary, you may have never heard of Richards Graphic Communications and like moths to the flame were attracted to the big shiny lights of the FedEx logo as I was. The solution is in Bellwood, IL where a family-run printing business is setting the technology trends in printing while continuing to offer the "Mom n Pop" customer service that makes you feel warm and cozy inside.
