Solo Computers deserves one star because at least I got my computer back. The technician said they had to make a total recovery on my computer and had to install a new Windows 7 64 bit. I advised him that the hard drive in the computer has a recovery partition built inside the computer. He said you need a totally new Windows Operating System. He installs the new Windows put the wrong one, after he stated he was going to install the 64 bit version of windows he installed a Windows 32 bit version which caused half of my applications not to work or update. I do not understand how a person who deals with computers for a profession could miss this. The personnel working there must need glasses because my computer has all the specs printed on the outside panel. I returned to following day with my computer, the technician for the shop said he did not have Windows 64 at that particular time and it would take a day or more to get one. I waiting another week to call if my computer was ready and was told “oh ya it was ready”, I receiving my computer back further discovering that it was still experiencing problems with the most basic of programs causing them to still fail to install or preform standard windows updates. I called back about the problem once more and he said give a few days because the operating system takes a few days to begin working properly. After three days of continuous malfunctions and sheer frustration and the continuous delays and failure to properly put my computer in runnable operating condition I got some free advice from an outside source and it was explained to me that there is a partition written onto the hard drive with an uncorrupted version of the operating system. After following the steps needed to initialize the restoration of my computer it was returned to brand new operating state. Let’s consider for a moment if you take your computer to a so called professional and they can’t return it to you in operating condition in my opinion is they should be banned from operating a business. After spending a great deal of money and time, they lie about contacting you and don’t return you calls in a timely manner or at all period. PLEASE DON’T TAKE YOUR COMPUTER THERE IF ONLY SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE.

I've had computers cleaned and viruses removed several times by the Solo technicians.Most recently, I took a laptop, infected with multiple viruses to ANOTHER COMPAMY (dumb move!) I was told that they could not clean and retore it. Junk it, I was told. Jaime at Solo fixed it and upgraded it in a few days - a $1200 investment now works great! Personable service too! Jim G.
