Feedback:

We have worked with Spectrecom Films on many different projects, and they have provided several creative and cost-efficient production services for many of our clients. It's not easy to find a video partner that can successfully work with your creative work and strict budget! Their large in-house team of filmmakers ensures you're always dealing with the same team and strict timelines are always met! Their studio facilities, exceptionally professional! An agency that truly goes above and beyond!James RidleyAIA Worldwide

Feedback:

One of the most developing production companies at the moment, in my eyes, developing from educational films 13+ years ago into one that has truly grasped the concept of video branded content. Amazing studios, which are a massive USP, and a full, talented production house that can take most projects from start to finish, impeccably. Loved working there and still use their services even though I have now moved on and running another company. Great people and I highly recommend them!

Feedback:

I’ve worked in the industry for over 20 years, in 5 cities on three continents. This is the first complaint I’ve ever posted. To be fair, the producers at Spectrecom were a pleasure to work with and the work – although disorganised – was good. However, there is a toxic culture around payment that’s unlike anything I’ve experienced. A level of dishonesty and disrespect as unnecessary as it was painful. Over several months I was a freelancer, part of a large team. I was never paid on time, had to fight for every invoice. After three months of overdue invoices and a complete breakdown in trust / good feelings, I had to resort to a solicitor and a debt collector. It was during the legal process that I discovered I was not alone: every single freelancer had been treated similarly. Most of us eventually got paid, a fee greatly reduced by stress and collection costs. None of us was paid without at least a threat of legal action. One of my colleagues described the situation eloquently:“I can't accept to be dismissed, avoided, and lied to by any company or individual over the course of three months, after I've made all efforts to reach out to them and resolve the matter amicably. Companies have cash flow issues sometimes. That's totally fine. Happens a lot in this business. I always make an effort to give people or companies more time because, well, I don't like to fight over money, and I want them to survive and hire me again! [Personally, I have waited as long as 16 months without complaint for invoices to be paid because there was trust and frank discussion – a courtesy that would have cost Spectrecom nothing] But they have to be acting in good faith. Cynically dismissing and avoiding former contractors, when not lying to them out right or "going on vacation" when they promised they would take care of your case, is not acting in good faith.”I would strongly warn any contractor against working for Spectrecom. If you do need the work, insist payment terms with late penalties are agreed to and signed by the line manager or head accountant in advance. If not, nurture your savings and prepare yourself for a long, deeply demoralizing fight to be paid.

Feedback:

To all production and post-production freelancers reading this: stay away. Do not work for this company under any circumstances. They will hire you and expect you to produce top quality work (rightfully so) while knowing full well that will not have the means to pay you for your work. I am still waiting to be paid three months after I submitted my invoice. Emails and phone calls don't help; they usually go unanswered. Face-to-face chats with the people in charge don't help either. Lots of obfuscation. The worst and most contemptuous employer I've ever had the misfortune of working with/for. Stay way. I didn't. I regret it. And to potential clients of Spectrecom Films: don't work with them as you will be supporting their unacceptable, unprofessional, quasi-exploitative behavior.

Feedback:

Stay clear of this company, I haven’t been paid for nearly two months. They may seem friendly on the outside but They are rude when you call accounts up.

Feedback:

Don’t trust these people, stay away at all costs

Feedback:

They have courteous and professional personnel who always keep in touch and respond promptly to queries. Worked with them on a translation project and everything moved well until completion. We had a few setbacks during the project but these would be attend to and resolved in a timely manner.

Feedback:

Avoid this company as the finances are in the mess. Still waiting for the invoice to be paid after 8 months.

Feedback:

It's seemingly impossible to receive payment from this company. My friends and I have been waiting 56 days since we submitted our invoices for payment with no sign of the money being paid this month and a lot of excuses as to why. It's completely unacceptable.Very disappointed and we will be taking them to small claims court.Do not work with them.

Feedback:

I hear they do not pay people on time
