I was on the look out for a web designing company who would design a website for me that would showcase my travel photographs. In this context I searched on Google and the company which came in the forefront was Websys. I went through the Google reviews and barring a few negative ratings it was all praise. Little did I know at that point of time that most of the remarks and praises were faked to get ratings on Google and I was en-route to the Biggest Fraudulent Web designing company in the city. After fixing an appointment over the phone I went and met Mr. Arindra Datta the owner of Websys. On my very first visit to his office I was astonished to find a very feeble infrastructure. The office was in shambles with systems old and outdated. And most noticeable of all on the very first day and in subsequent visits i hardly found any employee in the organization (apart from a guy sitting over a desk who used to serve me water and tea). In spite of taking pre-appointments with Mr. Arindra he kept me waiting for nearly an hour before he showed up. However he was polite and gentle when he spoke which very well disguised the slyness and deceitful nature which he revealed later. After a discussion it was decided that he would commence work on a payment of INR 7000/- to be transferred to his bank account. The remaining 7000 to be paid on final approval. In the month of july 2016 i paid him INR 7000/- as agreed but I did not receive any payment receipt either in hard or soft copy apart from a telephonic approval. I already had a working website at that point of time and my primary objective was to give it more of a professional look. After discussing with Mr. Arindra I purchased a new theme (although it was not to his liking as he wanted me to purchase a lack luster theme with an easy interface) and handed over all my travel photographs to start work. After nearly two months when I couldn't see any traction on my website, I met him again in his office and was told that he had commenced work on his own personal computer which of-course i wouldn't be able to view or see. On the contrary he demanded some travel write ups in detail from me which would help him perform a simple copy and paste without any content writing and designing. Days went into months and there wasn't even the slightest of traction noticed in the work flow. Even the theme was not installed. The front page sliders and even the gallery was not prepared for which i had given photographs months back. He started to avoid my calls and provide lame excuses to elude work. The most intriguing and humorous part of all was when he accused me after 5 months that I was not sure what I wanted from my website. I am a professional running a business myself for over 12 years in the city. How could he possibly comprehend that I have money to waste paying Mr.Arindra 7000 to design a website which I am myself not sure off ? I even took time off and provided him with seven blog posts (in a gist) of my travelogues but to my dismay Mr. Aindra was bent on showcasing his fraudulent nature of digesting the money without doing any work. In an extremely unprofessional way he accused me of having copied the contents from other websites. By that time my patience level was at the brink as nearly 5 months have gone without a scratch. I asked him to scrub the project and refund me the amount of 7k as I felt completely cheated both in time and money. After waiting for nearly a month and showering him with words and phrases that I have never ever used in the professional world he refunded me only INR 3000 (not even 50% of the amount given). Even as on date I am totally unaware of even the slightest of work done on my website for which he charged me 4k. I believe in divine vengeance and hope a day would come very soon when he gets paid in his own coins.
