Wonderful place to work! Caring parent company and local management. Production area is clean. This is a company that continually works to make improvement in their production process and bring all workers together as a team. Great team to be a part of! Very easy commute from Des Moines area.

I have been employed with Altec 4 years now. I feel more support from the management team here then I have ever felt at any other job. I started out on the floor as a T.A. putting in Bulkheads. After about 3 years I got bumped up in the company. I am now Supervisor of Fiberglass Dry Side. It is hard to find a company that cares this much for there employees. We are short handed and need to hire more people constantly do to our growth as a company. Always looking for another good employee. If you want a long term job close to home with outstanding benefits and pay. Stop in and see us.

If You’re willing to work and You wanna make a GREAT paycheck, then Altec is the place to work. Great work environment, altec is committed to your safety at all times, in all areas. If You work hard , show up every day, and work smart , then You will make a lot of money at Altec, and have great benefits for You and Your family. Altec has rules that are there for Your safety, follow them and You will go far in the company. Paid vacation, overtime sometimes, they care deeply for You as a team member, and Altec cares for You as a family member. Great management, and H.R are so wonderful. They went on a firing sprees in March of this year. When I was fired I was told I wasn't a good fit. I only had like 2 or 3 hours of training and then I was bounced from area to area on my 1st day on the floor! How do they expect a person to learn??? Huge turnover rates (even the big wigs of the company acknowledged it). Decent pay, great insurance, but very poor management, a 6 month probation period so they can fire you for anything, and long hours (expect to work 55+ hours a week). There is a reason Altec in Osceola is always hiring, best to stay away unless you need some quick cash and do not expect to stay for long.

I have been here for 11 months and the company cares! I came from another manufacturing facility and there is no comparison. Management cares, no threats, fun environment and very clean. As with all jobs, there are rules and if you follow them, you will have no trouble. GO ALTEC!
