Avista is a terrific resource for audio visual equipment. They got me what I needed for my networking function, everything was easy to use (especially with the tutorial when I picked the equipment up) and it all worked perfectly (though they provided a 24 hour tech support line just in case). My experience from start to finish was easy and everyone I dealt with was helpful.

2nd time renting PA equipment from Avista. I used them because of my stellar experience with them the first time. This time was no different. I dealt with Aaron Aquino and he helped me out. He was always quick to reply to an e-mail and answered any of my questions. I rented a pair of JBL Eon 15", a 4 mic channel Behringer mixer and stands. While the speakers were a bit beat up (to be expected), they performed flawlessly. The music was for dinner and dance music at a friends baby shower. (Yes, there WAS dancing at a baby shower!). The JBL's handled it with no problem. Plenty of gas to do what it needed to do. I used a DI box to route the music from my laptop and into the mixer's mic channels. This gave me EQ on my music which came in handy to help tame some of the boominess on some of the songs. One of the nice things about this place is that they have the equipment ready to demonstrate how everything is hooked up and how it all works. Also, they hand out free swag (it was a pen, but still!!!). NICE! I can't remember the guy who helped us when we picked up the equipment, be he was very nice and professional while still being relaxed and laid back. Going over the paperwork before we headed out, he said no matter what, if we run into problems, they are ALWAYS available for phone support to help sort out any problems. Do not quit. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION! They are my GO-TO people for anything AV related and if anyone I know needs to rent any type of equipment, they are at the top of the list!
