My ninth book was coming out in paperback after selling through two hardcover printings, but the publisher had found it inconvenient to make the many corrections the book needed. Bla-at! I write middle grade and young adult speculative fiction, but friends blamed my lack of success there on my lack of an on-line presence, a platform.
