We called Mike’s computer repair to mount a TV at our beach home in Seaside. Since I was driving all the way from the Seattle area, I wanted to make sure we had an appointment. Dominic confirmed the appointment over the phone and asked that I call or email with the TV size (we were purchasing the TV at Costco on our way to Oregon). I followed up to confirm the TV size only to get an email back cancelling the appointment. Dominic had several excuses for the cancellation including that they made a scheduling error on their calendar. Another excuse was that their technician had an emergency and was going to be out of town. Totally uncool and unprofessional. How can you trust any business that can’t keep an appointment and can’t come up with a strait forward excuse as to why they are cancelling the appointment?!

When I woke on Monday, my beloved computer was stating something to the tune of 'boot failure, please insert system disc' 😱. First of all, we both stay home and it's near vital to our existence. I left a message for Mike's Computer Repair just after they opened. Got a call back within a half hour and Dominic said we could drop it off anytime. I accepted that our hard drive was toast and he offered to try and salvage whatever data he could. When I told him I'm a gamer, he was familiar enough with the game that he was confident my save files would be easy to salvage. So, hubby drops it off and he said he'd try to get her done by day's end. Much to my surprise and delight, he called a few hours later and said it was ready. He took the time to do some research and was able to not only save our data but our hard drive. He charged us far less than he could've by not replacing it. He assured us that the hard drive is fine as he'd run several tests. Five or so days later, not a problem at all. We recently moved from Portland where I know an awesome computer guy who has been very good to us for about a decade. My hubby's mobility issues meant we couldn't make the trip this time. Dominic exceeded our expectations and we will be sure to reach out again if necessary. Thanks!!
