Melody was extremely rude, awkward, and dismissive of any questions. The other woman working there was also curt and did not reply to questions well. She did not say goodbye or anything, simply walked away while telling me to “get out there.” This was in the middle of the day with no other visitors in the visitor center either. You can ask them questions about the area and they will give you a yes/no answer and just stare at you until you stop talking. In addition they told me to google information about everything in Seward including the trails, and it is very hard to find that info on google, which is why I wanted to talk to a person. I will recommend anyone to ask questions to tour companies in Seward or at the Kenai Fjords Visitor Center instead of here. Horrible people, especially Melody.

Wow what to say. if I was able to give minus zero numbers on their review I sure will do that. We stopped to get some information about the town and figure out what’s going to happen on Fourth of July celebration. We heard this is the best place in Alaska celebrates the 4th. We arrived it was a lady sitting in the front desk we politely wanted to ask her about places stuff to do around town she had absolutely zero tolerance to answer our question ,she was very rude ,very short in her answers like we literally interrupting her day and she was stopping and looking on the clock because she had another half hour to be there. We felt very uncomfortable . We pick up a few brochures by ourselves and left with that and there’s a few couples got to in and also wanted to know knowledge about the glaciers in tours around town - Again her answers was absolutely zero time to think and we saw their expression on their face was like are you really giving us this face - you are working for information center you representing town. We felt very uncomfortable and would definitely not recommend to go there. You have another few places visitor centers that you can find nicer people to get all your questions answered.( the lady on picture- is the one who don’t care for what you have to ask )!!!!

Stop by the chamber of commerce on your way into Seward if you don't already have your stay fully planned out. We had some ideas of what we wanted to do but the knowledgeable ladies at the chamber gave us some good tips on where to eat and how to plan our day. We ended up getting some seafood, looking around the pier, catching some salmon and exploring the glacier, all in one day trip from Anchorage. Definitely worth the ten minute stop to get your bearings straight and pick up some pamphlets.
