The plans are not bad, but you better have some prior working knowledge of construction, or they will be less than useful. The bill of materials comes in total length of the item needed, rather than how many of each is needed, for example 504 feet of two by fours instead of saying you need 63. The plans also show board lengths in inches some places and feet in other places, which is weird. The other strange thing about the bill of materials is that in one section it calls for 2x7's, not sure if it is a misprint or if I need to rip down a 2x8 ? , or is is supposed to be a 2x6? In the general section it lists a 22 1/2 high wall, a 156 high wall, a 144 high wall, a 120 high wall, a 96 high wall, a 30 7/16 high wall, a 29 3/4 high wall, a 30 3/8 high wall, and a 38 1/2 high wall. All this with no explanation as to what the heck all that means? My other concern is the print I bought does not even say how tall the building is and other dimensions are just plain vague. As far as getting a response from the email addresses given, good luck, I tried and none of them worked. Plus there is no clear way of getting a refund even though they advertise 100% money back guarantee. I even sent a reply to the email they sent with the prints explaining that I was having difficulty with the DWG file they sent, but no reply back. I know it was only $20.00 but I had some expectations of these being useful at least to save time figuring out the material list, I can build a structure without a print, I have built several. I only ordered the prints so I could save time figuring the material list.In the end I went to a local Vocational school that teaches high school kids CAD drawings and pre-engineering and had the students draw some prints that I could use.

I would caution anybody using these guys! I personally was very disappointed, however I did finally get the blueprints I requested. My problem is I had to overpay because he didn't deliver the finished product based on dimensions that I "clearly" provided (in both a scanned document and via written email). I was quoted a price that I felt was based on on the dimensions I provided on the scanned document and in writing. My payment was in advance as quoted but then they provided blueprints that were not correct (I requested a cabin that measured 28x36 and they provided blueprints for a 24x32 cabin). I advised that the dimensions were incorrect so they then re-quoted to adjust for the correct dimensions. I was left with absolutely no choice but to pay the additional funds or be stuck with the blueprints that did not meet our specifications. I really honestly feel like I was set up and ripped off so cannot recommend or endorse. When I advised how disappointed I was the response I received was that they were disappointed too because it would require more work for them to complete??? Even though I paid the additional funds!!! I have to respond since he has turned this whole thing into me not detecting his miss! I could not have been more clear when I submitted a scanned document that "CLEARLY" had written the size dimensions on it and "CLEARLY" wrote the dimensions in the body of the email. I was quoted what I would have assumed to be based off of those "CLEAR" instructions. I paid based on this quote so yes I was left with no options to pay more or be left with drawings for a cabin that "CLEARLY" did not meet the requirement. Lastly, ask him why he had to submit 4 times? Because he couldn't deliver what was the request. What kind of business comes back and blames the customer for their mistake? To me my email should have served as a contract, the fact he misquoted is not the customers fault. If someone signs a contract to purchase a home for the asking price and the day you close the deal they say they made a mistake and the house now costs more should the seller get more money or does the buyer get the house for the contract price? I would win this battle in any court.

Working with Matt and SDSPlans is one of the best decisions I could have made for my company. As a custom home builder, Matt takes the time to take my scribbled visions from drawing paper to reality. How ever long it takes to make it right, Matt and his staff are there to get it done. SDSPlans cost per plan is very reasonable, and his ability to offer suggestions and advice in areas to potentially save money are invaluable. I highly recommend Matt and SDS Plans.Shaun GoberEETKO BuildersTraverse City, MI
