10/21/19 I had to arrange for service to be done on a landline for an elderly friend of mine. I went to the Sudden Link office and made an appointment to suit my work schedule, for after 5 p.m. and by 8 p.m. I ask them to have the serviceman call me on his way there. They took my number and said he would call on his way. There was 2 servicemen that came about 7 p.m. , it was dark outside when they came. My friend called me and said they were there. I hurried over to her house, 15 mins. away. My friend told me when they came to the door, they knocked opened the door just a little and announced they were there. Turns out the 2 men did a marvelous job and got the landline repaired. They were very professional and polite. They wore yellow safety vests. I spoke with the servicemen and ask why I wasn't called. They said the serviceman that was suppose to come was running late and the service call was referred to them because they were close. They were not told to call us before coming. I commend these two men for what they did and a short period of time. I told them, I wasn't pleased that I wasn't called, but I understand if they weren't told to call, it wasn't there fault. If I had been called so I could have saved my friend concern about allowing strangers into her house, I would be able to give 5 Star rating on this repair. However, Sudden Link didn't full fill their responsibility to my friend as a customer, to make sure she was notified, so she could notify me, so I could be there to let the repairmen in. Sudden Link didn't know my friend was elderly, however I told them she is a shut in. Sorry Sudden Link, 3 stars is all I can give you. As for the 2 men that did the service, 5 GOLDEN STARS all the way.

DO NOT GET SUDDENLINK ANYTHING! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUB CONTRACTS TECHNICIANS (THAT BARELY SPOKE ENGLISH AND DIDNT HELP AT ALL!). INTERNET HAS BEEN OUT FOR A MONTH AND SUDDENLINK DOESNT CARE AS LONG AS I KEEP PAYING FOR SERVICES THAT DONT WORK. I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE IT WAS MY EQUIPMENT BUT I WENT TO THE PARKERSBURG OFFICE AND THE LOBBY WAS SO FULL I COULDNT GET N THE BUILDING. AFTER TALKING TO OTHER SUDDENLINK CUSTOMERS I REALIZED THERE WERE MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SUDDENLINK INTERNET. I REPEAT...DO NOT GET SUDDENLINK SERVICES!!! NOW OWNED BY "ALTICE" DO NOT GET EITHER 1!

Update edit: going in to the physical store solved our issues within the day. The bare minimum of the transaction was accomplished. Suddenlink's phone and internet chat support is a mind boggling abomination of a system that defies description beyond it fails at everything it does. 3 stars for the physical store location.

If you like waiting 3 days to get a phone call back this is probably the best provider for you. Got my internet hooked up and they couldn't get my wifi working so they said they would bring another modem the next day never heard anything after that. Tried calling and couldn't get anyone, maybe they should learn from CAS called them and got everything done within a few day P.S IF YOU WANNA TALK TO SOMEONE JUST CALL LIKE YOUR SETTING UP A NEW SERVICE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I COULD TALK TO AN ACTUAL PERSON
