Feedback:
The absolute most unprofessional owner I have ever tried to do business with. Decided to try to use them on a inventory home after having a bad experience with being misled on multiple choices from wall position to brick color. After the brick color was not what we chose, we decided to go a different route. This time we were going to buy a home that was already started and had some of these decisions already done. After going in a few times to ask basic questions, (how much sod comes with? Is the backyard fenced?....) we were set to put an offer in on a house. The owner told his sales agent he would not sell a house to us because of the previous deal. I would urge anyone looking for a house to not use this builder!
Feedback:
At first my wife and I were wowed by the beautiful designs and floorplans of Texas Home Development. The representative who worked with us was kind and worked through all the paperwork to put earnest money down on our dream home. We excitedly put our house up for sale to prepare for the new home to be built.Things were looking great when all of the sudden, 2 weeks later I receive a phone call at work from the sales rep that our earnest money was being returned to us. The builder, Mr. Davis, suddenly had a change of heart and our floorplan was no longer going to be built in the neighborhood that we selected. In fact, the prices that we had been shown in the neighborhood were now being raised. It would have been nice to even have Mr. Davis himself contact us, but instead the poor sales rep had to appologize heartily for the ridiculous customer service of the company. My wife was eventually able to talk with Mrs. Davis who was in no way sympathetic to what had happened and explained that they just weren't making the money they needed to off the model we chose and were going a different direction.Perhaps it was a good thing that the deal fell through because seeing how they treat their customers doesn't exactly inspire confidence in how the rest of the business is run.
