Feedback:

The design firm is AMAZING at what they do! They made my new house turn into a dream. I was completely lost with all of these empty rooms and they came in and immediately knew what to do. They presented quickly after our initial meeting and made me feel so comfortable with any requests or changes I made. Kara has a wonderful team and they really do care about what I want. I loved working with them and won’t ever use anyone else for my design needs! Even after the install, they continue to check in and see how I’m doing and if I’m completely satisfied. Their customer service is unmatched!

Feedback:

They have been without a doubt, one of the best design firms I have ever worked with. I had them redesign one of my offices and I can’t even begin to describe just how beautiful the result was. My clients can’t stop raving about how they love the new look of my office. We went with a very natural calm design and I have never felt so peaceful in the workplace! I definitely recommend them, they know what they are doing!

Feedback:

The Design Firm has been such a pleasure to work with. My designer, Caroline picked up on my style immediately and can determine things I like before I even know I like them. I continue to be impressed with her eye for color, flow, and detail, and her energy is contagious. She is efficient and always conscientious of my time.Mary, our Senior SPEC designer, is organized, detail oriented, and extremely knowledgeable in both the construction and design aspects of our project. She is in constant communication with me and spent a ton of time on our job site so that I didn't have to. Mary adds invaluable insight and opinions, and even Anna and Lindsay behind the scenes have been instrumental to making this a smooth process.TDF has excellent relationships with vendors in town, and as a result, always finds the best options to fit our budget. Because of this team, decisions were easy and straightforward, and I never had to take a single measurement, determine a quantity, or place an order. We are so thrilled with the gorgeous house that resulted from our decision to work with The Design Firm. We recommend this group wholeheartedly!

Feedback:

Kara and Rachel have a wonderful eye for color and great ideas to help me stretch my design dollars further. They gave practical and amazing advice on where to prioritize my resources for my current project as well as projects I'm looking at down the road. I FOR SURE will be using TDF services again. We have already installed everything and its came together smoothly and absolutely beautifully! We highly recommend Kara and The Design Firm!!!

Feedback:

I've waited a few weeks to write this review to ensure I wasn't providing a review based off emotion. Our experience with TDF started off as pleasant as we went through a very extensive consultation, as well as a meeting with the owner and designer. Our desires were very clear, as my husband and I asked lots of questions and provided feedback based on our styles and preferences. We spent well over 40k for our home design for several rooms, even going over our initial budget which we were ok with. We were even planning for the next design phase of our home, where we wanted to possibly use their services. The end design was nice; however my review is regarding the very poor attitude of our designer, Caroline. It started out as cordial, but she clearly doesn't like to be questioned as a designer. As a customer, If i'm spending over 30k on my home, I would like to be able to provide ongoing respectful feedback for a home that I have to live in for potentially the rest of my life. Our design relationship took a very awkward turn as Caroline became agitated, rude and dismissive. When a husband/wife team are working together on a family home, a designer should not dismiss either spouse's desire and turn to the other spouse and say, "well what do you think", as if the other person doesn't matter. In addition, if we have decided that we want to go in more of a "traditional" direction; why would you keep presenting us with items that make our home look like more of an art museum, and then get upset or frustrated when we say that's not the style we asked for? We were clearly not being heard, and when we politely expressed our concerns, she would become extremely dismissive and emotional. After trying to get our concerns heard, we sent an email to Caroline, and also included the owner, Kara. But because Caroline is the DAUGHTER of the owner, she would respond to our emails, but would take her mom off the emails. To us, this was a conflict of interest. How do we complain about the daughter of the owner?! The last straw was after making a recommendation for greenery for the home, we asked for sample designs on what they would look like. When we were sent more contemporary/modern style trees. My husband sent a very nice email asking if we could look for more traditional style trees. Not more than 24 hours later, we received an email stating they would no longer work with us! So a designer can make a recommendation for us to spend almost $2k on a faux tree, and we can't ask for what we like?! Who does that?! I understand all design relationships don't work out, but at no time were we offered another designer to work with or anything. We were blatantly told, they didn't want to work with us anymore. I've worked with interior designers before and I have never experienced such blatant disrespect as a paying customer. While I may not be a millionaire or a NFL/NBA wife, our money is hard earned and just as important.

Feedback:

Kara has a contagious, amazing gift. My husband and I hired The Design Firm a few months ago to guide us through an overhaul of almost our entire house, one phase at a time. The TDF teams professionalism, enthusiasm and talent were evident immediately. I have worked with interior designers before and was prepared for the mixed bag that entails, but Kara and our Senior Designer, Mary, have changed my perception of the whole process. Mary was communicative, thorough, detail-oriented and driven to succeed... all at a pace that was perfect for us. And her out-of-the-box way of thinking is inspiring. She listened, and she delivered. And I know she and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes, which I greatly appreciate. My first two phases are done -- one that involved a big renovation with contractors, and the other was a more simple bedroom re-do, and both were completed with excellence. Our home is stunning. I cannot wait to begin the next phases, thanks to The Design Firm, Kara and Mary. My family and I are beyond grateful our paths crossed!"

Feedback:

Kara, Caroline, Megan, and the team stayed on top of every aspect of the process. If anything needed to be problem-solved, they were there each step of the way ensuring the install went smoothly. Their top priority was making sure we loved the home and had a stress-free experience.

Feedback:

To start with this review I will say that We were over promised but under delivered by TDF. We started calling them and made the deposit by the end of March. By mid of April we met for our presentation and we have agreed with 75% of their proposal. There are couple more items I either take off or switch out. On June 13th they went out and did an installation for the house. That’s when I found out the 2 items I have agreed with them on the very first time after they proposed it was not in stock and not sure when will it be in stock again. I was told to wait until the end of July for one of the 2 missing items. When I mentioned I wanted to cancel the items Crystal (the name of the designer who worked on my project from the beginning) told me that the both items will be discontinued and she is not sure when will it be delivered. It seems like because I insist to cancel 1 she went ahead and try to make me cancel the both item. When I asked for the refund, this is when the ridiculous part started. So the missing items are the ones for the living room and the project it has a media cabinet, 2 3-seats sofas, an end table, 1 lamp, 1 decliner, 1 love chair and a coffee table. The 2 pieces were missing are a love chair and a coffee table which we picked out at the very beginning and they said they have it ordered but until the end for almost 8 weeks we was informed that 2 pieces has been out of stock for awhile. And for 8 weeks no one has informed us any words so we either wait or pick out different ones. They waited until they done install everything and let me know that 2 pieces are missing. The whole project cost us 30K including freight and installation fee. The living room itself cost us nearly 14k. When I asked for the refund of the 2 big items or I would call the 2 significant items since it’s a chair and a coffee table, they told me that I will get a refund of $1400. I was like what. For the whole room cost me 14k and that 2 big pieces only cost $1400? I spoke to Crystal and she became so rude. I feel like after receiving all my money they kinda want to walk away brushing off all the responsibilities. When I mentioned about how disappointed I am with her service she would jump in and ask me “then what do you want”. She asked me that question for all most the whole conversation when I tried to tell her how I feel. If you are going to pick them, don’t work with Crystal. You won’t be able to see her true self until things happen and it wasn’t a nice one to deal with if anything happens. The items that we received there were 2 damaged ones and one of the chair it took them until last week Wednesday which was August 8th to finally have it fixed. They fixed it for 7 times in total wasting all my time staying home wait for them and what they did was keep bringing another damaged one to replace it. Finally it’s done and I really won’t recommend their service to anyone that I know. Their products mainly are from Coaster Fine Furnitures and with that same project I don’t think we would pay more than 15k for the whole house. The bedroom nightstands and the media cabinet are feel very cheap. Not real wood and yes for the price I paid I do have the right to expect some real wood or high quality items. But it failed us so hard and we have learned a big lesson from this project that never ever trust anyone too much. I highly recommend you shop around before making your decision because most of the house project costs thousands of dollars so be careful in picking your service. If I have a negative choice I will give them some negative stars.

Feedback:

It has great employees

Feedback:

I recently purchased a new home and was completely lost with what to do with it. The design firm stepped in and literally made my dreams a reality. The whole team was extremely professional, from the designers to the install crew, the whole experience was great! When the install day came, they recommended that I not be at the house so that my family and I could experience the “big reveal” I’m so glad that we left! When we left the house was empty and didn’t feel like home but when we came back my wife teared up at how beautiful everything was! I recommend them over anyone! Great work!
