I purchased a few can food items a few days ago at this Walmart. I no longer needed them so I took them back today. While at the Customer Service counter the Customer Service Associate looked in my bag and took my receipt and replied, “you can only exchange food items for food items we don’t do refunds on food items.” I said, “I’ve never heard of Walmart only doing exchanges on food items.’She said, “this is a new policy we started.” I said there are a few items I need and she said when you get them come back.” I got my items and came back to Customer Service and got back in line. I noticed that she was no longer there and a male Customer Service Assistant Manager was now working behind the counter. As I stood in line, I noticed the Caucasian lady in front me was at the desk returning cans of chili. I paid close attention to her transaction, and he never once told her she could only exchange the food items. In fact, he did a full refund for her with no questions asked. Then it was my turn, I commented to him, “ that I noticed that the Customer before me returned food items and was given a refund but I was told right off that you all don’t do refunds for food items only exchanges.” He said, “Yes that’s right, we’re not suppose to issue a refund but we do depending on the transaction.” I said, “that makes no sense and the rules should apply to everyone.” He no longer had no comment for me, seem to brush me off and he hurried up with my exchange to get me out of there. I asked to speak with the Store Manager and was told he was off today.

Has anyone noticed the prices are a little higher here? But the service was great. All the workers where friendly and there was 7 cashiers working!!!
