Had the most amazing time. The entire staff was so friendly and awesome. When we arrived Morgan and Constance were very helpful to get us all set up with what we needed for our day. Our tour guide Steve was such a cool guy, very knowledgeable, and extremely welcoming. Made us feel right at home and safe as he trucked us up the hill to find our treasures! Very helpful in pointing us in the right direction when we arrived at the summit. Also don’t forget to stop off at the crystal shop and check out all their amazing beautiful treasures, Dominick was supper friendly and cool to give us a tour of the shop. Overall was a great place and highlight of our road trip! Would highly recommend it to any family or prospector if interested! So worth it! Definitely plan on returning many times over with friends and family!

My husband and I went on a week long trip to do diamond digging at the crater of diamonds and ended up spending 2 days here!! The staff was amazing on all accounts!! Nothing but friendly and helpful people! Also our driver/expert guide named Steve, (whom was also apparently a newer and amazing asset! even had an EMT background ), was more than happy to assist and even went out of his way to ensure a fun filled adventure was obtained by EVERYONE! Thank you Steve for your kindness and knowledge!! And what an amazing shop on premises too! They sell and display such an amazing array of unique and gorgeous specimens! What an place to visit! Would definitely recommend bringing buckets, hats, gloves and digging supplies... nothing extravagant because of space limitations of course. They also have tools to rent available too! And keep I mind, although a good portion of it is certainly straight sun, there are also shaded areas which proved to be full of sparkly happiness too!! Would certainly want to go back even if it is a 7 hour drive ! And next time I am pretty sure a shirt with their logo is on my to buy list! Thank you Wegner for giving my husband and I such fond memories!! And hope to see you all soon!!

Yes you will find crystals, but they are mostly pint sized, like 1"~3" long and 1/2" wide, and it's a lot of work. The gift shop sales lady was kind of rude and the price of crystals were deceptive, they are marked as "whole sale price", when you go to the checkout, you suddenly found you have to pay 20% more than the sticker price. However the drivers to the mine was very nice -- we tipped the driver on way back. Overall kind of disappointing.

First time going and we had an amazing time! Staff was friendly and helpful with a beautiful store full of gorgeous stones. I can't believe how many crystals we found! Will definitely go back when visiting Arkansas again.

Did my research before coming to Arkansas and thought Wegner was the best option. I was very satisfied. Every staff person I encountered was friendly. Lance, our guide, was funny, informative and helpful.If you are a first timer like me don’t think you are going to walk around and find 2” crystals everwhere. I put in some work digging and left with multiple sets of clusters and dozens of small crystals. The more work you are will to do, the more you’ll find. I went for quantity over quality because I don’t know how to dig the veins. I would recommend without hesitation.

The shop has a lot of beautiful crystals, and was worth looking at- but there were no instructions or signs on what to do. Once we finally got up to the register we were given a brochure that was placed where you could hardly see it. The workers were not very pleasant.They only have pickings, which are delivered each day. You use your hands and find them. (Good for kids) Then actual digging, which has two shuttles per day. Early, then 1:30pm which didn't work for us, as we arrived at 12:30. We were mocked that we should wait around or go back into town. We found crystal Vista, which is an FREE abandon mine down the road. It is a small hike, and has a much similar feel. There was quartz and citrine naturally occurring. Without paying to be around a bunch of people and shuttled around in the heat! .
